France boss Deschamps: Spain are ‘clear favourites’ for World Cup clash | OneFootball

France national team head coach Didier Deschamps has over the last 24 hours turned heads across world football. This comes courtesy of a round of comments regarding his side’s upcoming meeting with Spain.

Two of European football’s heavyweight nations are of course primed to lock horns on Tuesday evening.

With a place in the final of the World Cup on the line, France and Spain will do battle in a highly anticipated clash at the Dallas Stadium in Arlington.

Heading into the matchup, the former have been tipped as favourites by most, owing to their explosive attacking potential, and fine form across the tournament to date.

One individual adamant that it is Spain who should in fact be viewed as frontrunners to advance, though, is the aforementioned Didier Deschamps.

Drawn on France’s chances in the buildup to this evening’s fixture, Les Bleus’ headmaster assured:

“Spain are clear favorites, without a doubt. I’m not putting pressure on them. Scoring a lot, only one goal conceded… they’re favourites.”
