Real Madrid summer signing Franco Mastantuono has on Tuesday secured for himself a piece of recent club history.
This comes owing to the Argentine’s efforts in Los Blancos’ latest outing.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Levante.
Youngster Mastantuono was for his part afforded his latest start in the clash, on the right wing.
And the South American has since gone on to enjoy a fine evening’s work to date, continuing to justify his place in boss Xabi Alonso’s XI.
The highlight of his showing came late in the first-half, when Mastantuono opened his account in the colours of Real Madrid.
Slipped in down the right by Vinícius Jr, the versatile midfielder/attacker did superbly to work his way into the penalty area, before picking out the roof of the net.
And as alluded to above, in the process, Mastantuono made history.
As per a report from statisticians Opta:
‘At 18 years and 40 days old, Franco Mastantuono has become the second youngest player to score for Real Madrid in LaLiga in the 21st century, after Endrick Felipe against Real Valladolid in August 2024 (18 years and 35 days).’
