Midfielder Goretzka recently brought a close to his stint in the colours of Bayern, after the parties made the call to go their separate ways upon the expiration of the German’s contract.

Despite his reputation, Goretzka has since failed to find a new club, still on the lookout for a home for the duration of the 2026/27 campaign. And with as much in mind, the 31-year-old’s entourage recently offered their client up to none other than Spanish champions Barcelona.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing market expert Matteo Moretto of Marca:

‘The player has offered his services to Barcelona, ​​where he would reunite with his former Bayern Munich coach, Hansi Flick.’

Despite Flick still holding Goretzka in high regard, and Frenkie de Jong’s long-term injury setback, however, the Blaugrana do not currently intend to take the experienced midfielder up on his offer.
