Fresh absence as Barcelona name squad to face Getafe | OneFootball

The squad of players called upon by La Liga champions Barcelona for their upcoming meeting with Getafe has been unveiled online.

And it features one new and altogether glaring absence.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action on Saturday, in a league meeting with the aforementioned Getafe.

The Blaugrana head into the matchup with the La Liga title within their grasp, just a few wins away from retaining their status as Spanish champions.

In efforts towards as much, though, Hansi Flick’s troops will be forced to make do without the contributions of Lamine Yamal.

Wide-man Lamine suffered a hamstring injury in midweek, en route to a narrow Barca victory over Celta Vigo.

The 18-year-old has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign as a result.

He was therefore omitted from the Catalans’ call-up for Saturday’s trip to Madrid, though the news regarding João Cancelo is altogether more positive.
