From FC Red Bull Salzburg to the Premier League

Jannik Schuster moves to Brentford

Jannik Schuster will transfer from FC Red Bull Salzburg to England for the 2026/27 season, signing a long-term contract with Premier League club Brentford.

Key development in Salzburg

The tall defender has been in Salzburg since the beginning of 2020 – for six years. He began his time here at the Red Bull Football Academy, where he also celebrated five league titles (3x U18, 2x U16).

Jannik Schuster made his first professional appearances with our partner club FC Liefering, playing 39 times in Liga 2 (with two goals and two assists). He also made 14 UEFA Youth League appearances for us.

On 20 June 2024, he transferred from FC Liefering to FC Red Bull Salzburg, increasingly establishing himself with our Red Bulls, and is now leaving the club after 29 appearances (with one goal and one assist).

The Austrian youth international will now take his next step. With his move to Brentford FC, the challenge of the English Premier League awaits him from this summer.
