Tyrique George is considering a permanent exit from Chelsea in the January transfer window after becoming increasingly frustrated with his lack of minutes.
George enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Chelsea last season, in which he scored three times in 26 appearances and contributed heavily to the club’s Europa Conference League success.
However, the 19-year-old has struggled for football this season with the summer arrivals of Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian increasing competition for places.
With his route to first-team football blocked, George is now weighing up his options. Several clubs are monitoring the teenager’s situation, according to CaughtOffside, including Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham and Leeds United.
There’s also interest in George from Championship outfit Southampton, and clubs on the continent, including RB Leipzig and AS Roma. The latter registered interest in signing George during the summer window.
George has not started a Premier League game this season and has totalled only 143 minutes of league action.
However, he has impressed across all competitions amid limited involvement. The winger has scored three times for Chelsea this season and has averaged a goal involvement every 96 minutes.
