The Scout’s verdict for the final FPL gameweek of the season is in as City travel to Fulham.

Pep Guardiola’s side visit Craven Cottage on Sunday 25 May, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 (UK) knowing we’ll qualify for next season’s Champions League if we avoid defeat.

However, we’ll have to be at the very best to collect the points we need against Marco Silva’s team who have enjoyed a strong top-flight campaign.

As ever, our clash with Fulham is one of 10 Premier League matches this weekend as the curtain falls and the campaign and FPL managers will be looking to maximise their points return for a final time in 2024/25.

With that in mind, read our last Scout report of the campaign below…

CITY STAR

Gameweek 38 (GW38) is the last time Fantasy Premier League managers will be able to select Kevin De Bruyne (£9.6m) for City.

De Bruyne was third in the GW37 Expected Goals (xG) Underachievers chart with an xG of 0.87 meaning he was unfortunate not to score.

In GW37 the midfielder was joint-top for shots (3) and he created the joint-most chances (2). He also provided more crosses than any team-mate (5).

In the last four weeks only one midfielder has delivered more crosses than De Bruyne.

With Erling Haaland (£14.9m) and Omar Marmoush (£7.4m) on the receiving end, and with City looking to ensure Champions League qualification, De Bruyne makes for both a romantic and a pragmatic GW38 selection.

ONE TO WATCH

Raúl Jiménez (£5.3m) is Fulham’s inform player. The forward has produced back-to-back nine-point returns after scoring in each of the last two Gameweeks.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma (£6.3m) and Bournemouth's Evanilson (£5.8m) are low-owned gems who can return in GW38.

Mitoma has scored in three of his last four appearances and faces a Spurs side who have lost eight of their last 11 league matches.

Evanilson, meanwhile, has two attacking returns from the last four matches.
