City returned to winning ways at weekend after two disappointing defeats

Pep Guardiola’s side sit five points adrift of league leaders Arsenal going into matchweek 14.

City are fresh off their last-minute win over Leeds, as Phil Foden struck an injury-time winner in a trickier test than many would have thought.

It followed their surprise 2-0 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen last week, which dealt their automatic Champions League qualification hopes a blow.

A 2-1 loss at Newcastle was the catalyst for City’s downturn in form, having previously beaten champions Liverpool comprehensively 3-0 before the international break.

Now, they take on a Fulham side riddled with inconsistency.

Marco Silva has called for timely January reinforcement in the transfer window to help prise the Cottagers out of the bottom half of the table, and despite suffering defeats to Newcastle and Everton in recent weeks, two consecutive wins against Sunderland and Tottenham has raised morale around Craven Cottage.

That will give them confidence heading into this game, against a City side that might more vulnerable than before the November break.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Fulham vs Man City is scheduled for a 7.30pm GMT kick-off today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Fulham vs Man City team news

For the Cottagers, there are three injury concerns for Marco Silva.

Striker Rodrigo Muniz is likely to be out until February with a hamstring injury and Antonee Robinson continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Harry Wilson, fresh off his goal in the win at Tottenham, will have a fitness test on a thigh issue that forced him off against Spurs.

As for City, Rodri remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while Pep Guardiola has a decision to make over Bernardo Silva and Gianluigi Donnarumma who are both one yellow card away from a one-game suspension.

Mateo Kovacic is a longer-term absentee after having ankle surgery.

Fulham vs Man City prediction

City will be buoyed by returning to winning ways against Leeds, even if they didn’t have things all their own way at the Etihad Stadium.

Some will say they were fortunate to take all three points against the strugglers, but a win is a win, and that is all that matters.

Fulham are fresh off two straight victories themselves and will come into this with home advantage and confidence, but City should have too much for them here.

Man City to win, 3-1.
