Gabriel Jesus scored twice for Arsenal in the Champions League win over Inter Milan, registering his first brace since December 2024.

The Brazil forward was named in the starting XI by Mikel Arteta after returning from injury and delivered two goals as Arsenal secured victory in Milan, confirming their place at the top of the league phase.

Jesus had not scored twice in a single match since December 2024, when he did so against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. He followed that with a hat-trick against the same opponents in the League Cup.

The goals against Inter took Jesus to 26 Champions League goals in 53 appearances, moving him ahead of Jardel and level with Rodrygo as the joint-fifth highest Brazilian goalscorer in the history of the competition.

Vinícius Júnior also climbed the same all-time Brazilian scoring list on the same night. The Real Madrid forward scored once and provided two assists in his side’s win over Monaco, reaching 30 Champions League goals in 75 appearances.

Vinícius is now level with Kaká in the rankings and trails only Neymar among Brazilian scorers in the Champions League.
