Norwich City agreed to the sale of Gabriel Sara in the 2024 summer transfer window
Norwich City had a strong end to the Championship campaign despite missing out on a play-off place.
The Canaries finished ninth in the table, eight points adrift of Hull City in sixth, but a positive run of form under Philippe Clement has raised expectations for the next campaign.
The Norfolk outfit had a disastrous start to this season, which led to a change in the dugout in November to bring in the former Rangers boss.
He oversaw their rise up the table, with Norwich impressing many as they went from a relegation battle to contending on the fringes of the fight for the top six.
The club’s attention will now turn to the summer transfer window, where they will be looking to bolster the squad for a firmer promotion push in 2027.
The play-offs are expanding to include the top eight, further improving their chances of being able to fight for a place back in the Premier League.

It has been reported by Football Insider that Aston Villa are the leading contenders to sign former Norwich forward Gabriel Sara this summer.
The winger made the switch from Carrow Road to Galatasaray in 2024 and has enjoyed two strong seasons in the Turkish Super Lig.
This has attracted the interest of a number of clubs, including the Europa League champions.
It has previously been reported that Norwich agreed a sell-on clause with the European club as part of the deal to sell Sara for around £15 million two years ago.
It is unclear what percentage of any sale the Canaries will earn exactly, but it could be worth seven figures.
It has been claimed that Galatasaray have set a £35 million asking price for the Brazilian as interest in his services increases.
That could net Norwich between £3.5-7 million in all likelihood, which would be a major windfall to receive with the summer market opening next month.
The 26-year-old has contributed seven goals and 12 assists from 58 appearances in the Super Lig since joining Galatasaray.
The club have won the title in both of Sara’s seasons in the team, and he has earned a lot of credit for his performances.
Unai Emery will be looking to bolster his side for the next campaign, with Villa Park set to host Champions League football once again.

If Norwich receive somewhere between £3.5 and 7 million from Sara’s move away from Galatasaray this summer, then that would be a major boost to their hopes of fighting for promotion from the Championship.
It will be a surprise to see a club like Aston Villa showing such interest in him two years on from his exit from Carrow Road, but he has impressed in Turkey.
The opportunity to compete in the Premier League and the Champions League will also be quite tempting, and that may help get a deal over the line.
The success of the sell-on clause will be proof that it’s an area the club need to keep utilising with future sales, as it can be a great source of additional revenue.
