Liverpool will face off against Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Reds suffered a disappointing 4-0 loss away at Manchester City recently, so they would be desperate to put in a much-improved showing in midweek.
Arne Slot will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first team for this game. Both Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister could play from the start of this game, while Florian Wirtz and Curtis Jones make way for them and drop to the bench.
Giorgi Mamardashvili will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after he conceded four goals in his last outing. Ibrahima Konate will function alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Joe Gomez will hope to catch the eye as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Andy Robertson will provide cover for the defensive positions on Slot’s bench.

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah will play just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to combine well if the Reds are to secure a good result in Paris this week.
Curtis Jones, Florian Wirtz and Rio Ngumoha will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.
Hugo Ekitike will lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat in the final third.
Alexander Isak will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if needed.
