Galatasaray are targeting Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic, with a loan move under consideration.

Fanatik reports the Istanbul club recalibrated plans after the Turkish Football Federation kept the 10+4 foreign player rule.

With Victor Osimhen the main reference in attack, the champions of Türkiye want another option. Nantes forward Matthis Abline had been the first target, but the move did not materialise, so attention shifted to Ivanovic.

The Croatia international, 22, joined Benfica last summer from Union Saint-Gilloise in a €22.8 million deal. Jhon Durán’s arrival could intensify competition and open the door to a departure.

A loan with an option to buy is being lined up, the report said, and contacts between the clubs have intensified in recent days. Okan Buruk’s side are expected to submit a formal bid soon.
