Galatasaray want to extend Mario Lemina after a standout season with the newly crowned champions of Türkiye, L'Équipe understands.

The midfielder arrived from Wolverhampton in February 2025 and has just concluded an impressive first campaign in Istanbul.

He made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring three times and supplying two assists. Notably, he headed the only goal in the 1-0 home win over Liverpool on 10 March in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Recent local reports had suggested a clause extended his deal to 2027. In reality, he is contracted until June 2026, which could draw suitors this summer.

A move is not guaranteed, with discussions continuing. The club appear ready to make a significant financial effort to keep him.
