Spanish giants Real Madrid are locked in a massively entertaining Club World Cup clash as they go into half-time at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium level at one-all against Al-Hilal.
Across what has been an opening 45 minutes under new manager Xabi Alonso that may have offered up more questions than answers, the capital side did take the lead before seeing their advantage cancelled out by a Rúben Neves penalty.
Bereft of key striker Kylian Mbappé, 21-year-old Madrid native Gonzalo García received the call to lead the line between Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo, and the Spanish youngster did his best to deliver the match opener on his first competitive start, beating Yassine Bounou from close range in the 34th minute.
With that, García became the fourth youngster Los Blancos player to score on his first start for the club across all competitions since 2009/10, joining a list that includes Jude Bellingham, Marco Asensio, and Dani Ceballos.
