Gary Neville believes that Arsenal could win the Champions League in the next couple of years.

The Gunners sealed a huge 4-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Summer signing Eberechi Eze was in the form of his life as he netted three times for Arsenal, becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in the game since 1978

Leandro Trossard also scored, and though Richarlison pulled one back for Spurs, it was a dominating win for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Former Manchester United star Neville previously predicted that Arsenal would become English champions this season.

However, he now believes they could also become European champions in the next couple of years.

Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast: “It’s not only a squad that should go on and win the Premier League.

“I’m not jumping ahead of myself here. It’s a squad that I can see winning the Champions League in the next two or three years.

“It might not be this season, because sometimes when you go to win your first Premier League, you become so consumed by that and you can get done in a European game in a two-legged tie.

“They’re getting to that level of performance, resilience, stability, and consistency. You have to be consistent. It’s a very consistent and performing team.”

Arsenal have won all four Champions League matches this term, beating Athletic Bilbao, Olympiacos, Atletico Madrid and Slavia Prague without conceding a single goal.

They are level on points with Bayern Munich but are below them in the table. The Gunners will host Bayern at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

It will be a big test for Arsenal, as Vincent Kompany’s men have been near impeccable this term.

Bayern will enter the European fixture on the back of an excellent 2-1 success at Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month. They also defeated Chelsea in their opening Champions League game.
