A few hours before kickoff for Udinese-Roma, Gian Piero Gasperini received an important individual award.
During the ceremony held at Coverciano, the Giallorossi coach finished second in the race for the Panchina d’Oro (Golden Bench) award for Serie A.
The award, presented by his colleagues, recognizes the value of Gasperini’s work in the 2025 calendar year: a first half of the season at the helm of Atalanta and an immediate impact on the Roma bench.
The top step of the podium went to Antonio Conte, honored for winning the Scudetto with Napoli, while Cesc Fabregas, who had a remarkable run with Como, finished third.
Other honorees included Giovanni Stroppa for Serie B, who led Cremonese’s promotion, and Massimiliano Canzi (Juventus) for women’s football.
A Special Golden Bench Award was also presented to Enzo Maresca for his achievements as Chelsea manager.
