Gennaro Gattuso has once again placed his trust in Inter Milan’s Italy core for the upcoming international break fixtures against Moldova and Norway.
The Italy coach has named five Nerazzurri players, Bastoni, Dimarco, Barella, Frattesi, and Pio Esposito, in his 27-man squad.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gattuso is keeping continuity with the Inter contingent that has formed the backbone of the national team in recent months.
“The Inter block has become a fixed point for Gattuso,” the paper notes. “Their tactical understanding and form at club level make them key pillars of the squad.”

The call-up also includes a first senior selection for Inter target Elia Caprile of Cagliari.
Meanwhile Alessandro Buongiorno and Samuele Ricci return after lengthy absences.
Gianluca Scamacca is back as well, having missed September’s matches through injury.
There will, however, be an enforced absence for Nicolò Barella, who is suspended for the opening game against Moldova after picking up a booking last month against Israel.
Meanwhile, Frattesi, Cambiaso, and Tonali are all one yellow card away from suspension.
The Azzurri will first face Moldova before the match against Norway, with Gattuso hoping to further refine his system built around Inter’s structure.
