Gaviões da Fiel marked 57 years with a sold-out celebration at Neo Química Arena on Saturday, bringing together former leaders of the organisation and a bill of funk and pagode performers.

The group turned 57 on 1 July with a samba gathering at its Bom Retiro headquarters for members, then extended the festivities to a party in the stadium car park open to non-members. According to Meu Timao, the group is understood to have paid R$ 200,000 to rent the Casa do Povo.

The show ran for more than 10 hours, starting at 18:00 with a samba set from the hosts. Salgadinho, MC Hariel, Bateria Ritmão, Belo, Sorriso Maroto and, finally, MC Don Juan took the stage.

Flags, fireworks and terrace songs, notably Poropopó, added to the atmosphere familiar from Corinthians’ stands.

President Alexandre Domenico thanked founders and attendees, saying staging the anniversary at what he considers their home carried deep meaning through shared hardship and joy. He also referenced how the arena was where Corinthians climbed out of the relegation zone in 2024.

He reaffirmed the group’s tradition of taking a stand and resistance since its 1969 origins in the terraces, arguing support stretches beyond 90 minutes. He credited unity among Corinthians supporters with helping to remove three former club presidents, and urged togetherness in a difficult moment, adding that members see themselves as guardians who will not allow those unfamiliar with the club’s history to damage it.
