It can be said that Francesco Camarda has paved a path and set an example for other young talents at AC Milan to follow, of which there are many.

Beneath Sergio Conceição’s Milan, there is in fact a youth sector that is growing and refining talent, even if the Milan Futuro experiment is not working for now given they are at risk of direct relegation.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport write, from the Primavera down to the U16s there are lots of positive and many players preparing for a first-team future, which they now see a clear path for.

The Primavera

Federico Guidi’s team, despite their young age, are in full battle for a place in the play-offs and they won their Coppa Italia semi-final against Lecce on Wednesday. The Rossoneri are currently sixth, coming from a derby they came from behind to draw in the second half.

On the cover is definitely Mattia Liberali, a talented and lively No.10, who Paulo Fonseca even launched into the first team in December against Genoa. Milan, however, prefer to keep him in the Primavera for now to let him grow.

Also highlighted are Emanuele Sala and Christian Comotto, two midfielders who have made a knack for timing runs into the box. The team’s top scorer is Filippo Scotti, with ten goals so far including the Coppa Italia winner.

The other number nine Alessandro Bonomi, who is however being used mainly on the wing in a 4-3-3. On the wing – in addition to Liberali and Bonomi – there is also Maximilian Ibrahimovic, Zlatan’s firstborn.

Under 18s

Visconti’s team are currently performing below expectations, but largely due to the ‘loan’ of some of the boys to the Primavera, who in turn have had players go up to the Futuro.

The Under 18s are the youth team that are struggling the most, since they are third-last with 22 points. A real striker is missing, because team’s top scorer is in fact the midfielder Cristiano Dotta, 18 years old, has five goals. Clarence Seedorf’s son, Denzel Viana, is also in the squad.

Under 17s

Renna’s young Rossoneri are third in the standings with 44 points, three points behind league leaders Inter. In the last round they scored six against Venezia and are very much on the move ahead of the final phase.

Last Saturday’s victory was signed in particular by the three goals of Simone Lontani, top scorer with 13 goals. Followed by the Italian-Argentine midfielder Simon La Mantia, who scored 11 goals.

Behind them, the 2009-born Samuele Pisati, who has already scored eight times as an under age player (plus one goal scored with the Under 16s) and was then slowed down by an injury. Among the 25 available there is also Ibra’s other son, Vincent.

Under 16s

The team are in great shape, coming from eight consecutive victories and currently fifth but only five points behind second-placed Monza. The team’s best scorer is Pietro Avogadro, with 12 goals so far. Many of Baldo’s team’s victories in the last two months bear his signature.

Also standing out is Mattia Angelicchio, the midfielder and captain born in 2009, who years ago was also in Inter’s sights, but chose the Rossoneri because he is a boyhood fan.

He also dreams of making his debut at San Siro, with the shirt of the team he has always supported. Following Camarda’s example.

Curiosity: in the youth team there is another little Camarda, born in 2011 and playing in the Under 15s. His name is Akram Jadid and so far, from a young age, he has already scored 23 times.
