Aside from the result, and the football itself, two of AC Milan’s biggest worries from the Liverpool game was the injuries which Davide Calabria and Mike Maignan received. However, some positive news has arrived about their conditions.

Throughout Tuesday’s game, Maignan was clearly struggling with an issue in his leg after an early goal kick. It wasn’t until the 58th minute that the Frenchman could not continue, though, and after a big knock, he was substituted off.

Concern had been in place all game due to his persistent struggles, but when he left the pitch he was visibly upset, leading Milan fans to expect the worst and even question his renewal. Although not as serious, Calabria was also taken from the field, with the defender struggling with a problem.

When the Italian left the field he was limping, and there was a concern about what the reasoning for his leave would go down to. However, the fears about both players can be gone now.

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the Frenchman is better and there do not seem to be any doubts about his position between the sticks on Sunday. The same can be said for Calabria, who has no problems after his calf issue against Liverpool.

Additionally, there should be a boost provided by Malick Thiaw’s potential return to the bench. Whilst he is not ready to start, he should be ready to be selected among the substitutes.
