The leader of the Curva Sud – Luca Lucci – has claimed to have had contacts with current members of the AC Milan management while under house arrest.

The world of Italian football was gripped by yet another scandal last October, and this time it is a bit closer to home as it concerns the ultras from the two sides of the city: AC Milan’s Curva Sud and Inter’s Curva Nord. We wrote about the case at length in a bonus article.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, on the Inter side the six men arrested as part of the investigation into the Boiocchi murder are all exercising their right to remain silent. However, on the Milan side, Lucci is choosing to make some statements in his defence.

The leader of the Curva Sud spoke from the bunker courtroom in San Vittore, where the trial is underway (behind closed doors). Among the sentences said to the preliminary hearing judge, some in particular are making waves.

“Are Milan an injured party in the trial? They know full well that over the years they have had relationships with the entire management and with me. Even while I was under house arrest, I have the chats,” he said.

“It was the Curva that acted as security at Milanello… It was the Curva that brought the players back to Milanello when they were out late at the disco… There are many secrets that the Curva knows about Milan.”
