Germany cruised to a 4-0 friendly win over Finland in Mainz, with Deniz Undav striking twice as Lennart Karl caught the eye. Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala also scored in the first of two warm-ups before the World Cup.
According to BuLi News, Undav was named man of the match with nine out of 10. Karl received 8.5, with Wirtz among those rated highly.
Starting up front in Kai Havertz's absence, Undav squandered a couple of early openings before breaking the deadlock. He then won the ball high to set up Wirtz, and later added his second from Karl’s pass.
Undav took a knock as he scored and was forced off shortly afterwards. Hopefully for Undav and Germany, it is nothing serious with the World Cup just around the corner.
Elsewhere in the ratings, Joshua Kimmich and Nathaniel Brown were given eight, while Jonathan Tah and Nico Schlotterbeck were rated seven. Felix Nmecha and Aleksandar Pavlovic also earned seven, with Oliver Baumann on six.
