The respective boards at La Liga rivals Getafe and Real Betis have opened talks over a potential loan transfer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Juanmi as being at the centre of the discussions in question.
Attacker Juanmi has for his part endured something of an underwhelming campaign to date.
Struggling to carve out a place for himself in the starting XI of boss Manuel Pellegrini, the 31-year-old has been restricted to just a pair of a pair of league starts.
With Real Betis having this week added further to their options in the final third courtesy of the loan signing of Antony, Juanmi, in turn, is beginning to look increasingly surplus to requirements.
And, as alluded to above, eager to take advantage of this situation are another of La Liga’s clubs, in the form of Getafe.
As per a report from MD:
‘Getafe are very interested in acquiring the services of Juanmi, an express request from Bordalás, and Betis would give the green light to his departure, as he is considered to be a player who has already been written off, and with a contract until 2026.’
