A scintillating start to the Premier League season has placed Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo firmly on the radar of the reigning champions. According to journalist Paul Joice, Manchester City are giving serious consideration to a move for the Ghana international, potentially as soon as the upcoming winter transfer window.
The report indicates that the Manchester club is prepared to meet the significant financial demands of the deal, showing a readiness to activate the forward's €65 million release clause.
Despite a slight dip in momentum after an explosive beginning, Semenyo's overall contributions this campaign have been undeniably impressive. The attacker has been a crucial figure for the Cherries, featuring in thirteen matches across all competitions and directly contributing to nine goals, with six goals and three assists to his name. His performances have been instrumental in Bournemouth's push to remain within touching distance of the top half of the table.
While the current market valuation on Transfermarkt places his worth at €55 million, it appears City are willing to meet the premium of his clause to secure his services, signaling the high regard in which they hold the in-form forward.
