Santiago Gimenez was actually one step away from a move to Roma in this last transfer window.

His father, Christian Gimenez, confirmed the story in a new interview.

“The truth is, I didn’t sleep all night. Being in constant communication with the club and listening to the sporting director’s words, doubts were starting to arise.”
