Girona star’s Napoli switch gets the ‘here we go’ | OneFootball

Girona have late this week agreed to the sale of defensive star Miguel Gutiérrez.

That’s according to market expert Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Italian champions Napoli as the versatile full-back’s impending landing spot.

Links between Gutiérrez and Napoli have of course long been rampant in the media.

This comes after the former Real Madrid man was earmarked as the ideal summer addition on the part of Partenopei boss Antonio Conte.

Negotiations, in turn, were kicked into gear between the parties several weeks ago.

And after club and player quickly came to terms on an agreement, a club-to-club accord has now been found, too.

As per a report on the part of transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Napoli agree deal to sign Miguel Gutierrez from Girona, here we go! Fee worth €18m plus €2m add-ons for the Spanish left back who wanted Napoli ahead of other options. Medical and travel to be booked next.’
