Borussia Mönchengladbach have reshaped their forward line, with Shio Fukuda joining Karlsruhe SC permanently and Jan Urbich extending his contract.
According to BuLi News, Karlsruhe will pay around €700,000, and Gladbach are said to have secured a sell-on clause and a matching right.
Fukuda, 22, spent last season on loan in the second division, scoring six goals in 20 appearances.
Urbich, 21, has signed through the summer of 2029 and will spend the coming campaign with 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig.
He made his Bundesliga debut last season but mainly featured for Gladbach’s U-23s in the Regionalliga, scoring 14 goals.
Braunschweig manager Benjamin Kessel described Urbich as a complete No 9 with presence in the box, depth, determination and energy on the ball. He said the forward also brings the physicality and dynamism they wanted in attack and that they look forward to his goal threat.
