Pep Guardiola says goalscoring across City’s squad is not a cause for concern.
It comes after the Blues were handed our first defeat since August in all competitions when falling to a narrow 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
By not breeching the Villans’ goal, it represents the first time we’ve been unable to find the net since our 2-0 loss to Spurs at the Etihad in our second assignment of the season.
In total, City have scored 23 goals across our 13 outings so far this season with Erling Haaland netting 15 of those.
Although we were unable to notch against Aston Villa in our latest fixture, Guardiola believes our attacking quality was on show against Unai Emery’s side.
“We have scored a lot of goals this season,” he said.
“Erling of course but today they [Aston Villa] had a back five and defended really well. Savinho, Jeremy [Doku], made the crosses.

“We saw how many times Phil [Foden] attacked, Tijjani [Reijnders] attacked, we were there and we were close. It’s just about the high pressing.
“With [Morgan] Rogers, [Boubacar] Kamara,[John] McGinn, they are a Champions League team. Top, top team. We compete really well.
City’s defeat to Aston Villa was the first time we’ve gone behind in a game since our previous loss - a 2-1 defeat to Brighton in on 31 August.
However, Guardiola was pleased with our reaction in the second half despite the equaliser we pushed for evading us.
He added: “I’m not going to say that because we didn’t come back it was bad, the spirit in the second half was really good.
“They defended well, the actions with Phil, Jeremy, Savinho, Oscar [Bobb].
“How many times we attack .We missed the last action but they defend really well and sometimes this happens.”

There was a slight worry for Haaland towards the end of our clash with the Villans after the striker bundled Omar Marmoush’s cross into the net before the goal was ruled out for offside.
When doing so, the Norwegian collided with the post and looked to be in discomfort but continued until the full-time whistle.
And Guardiola provided a reassuring update on the striker’s condition.
“I didn’t speak with him. [I’m] hopeful he is fine,” he explained.
