Gómez, Rayan and Barros top Vasco’s 2025 ratings, worst performers named | OneFootball

Vasco’s 2025 ratings crowned Andrés Gómez, Rayan and Cauan Barros as standouts, with Loide Augusto, Mateus Carvalho and Oliveira lowest. The review excludes the Campeonato Carioca.

According to Globo.com, the study covered 58 fixtures across the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil and Copa Sul-Americana, counting only players with more than 10 appearances.

Arriving mid-year, Andrés Gómez displaced Vegetti and became a starter, impressing in the Copa do Brasil run-in. He delivered one goal and seven assists in 21 outings and posted the season’s top average, 6.08.

Although Gómez led the averages, the year’s standout was Rayan under Fernando Diniz. Named the Brasileirão revelation and Copa do Brasil top scorer, he hit 20 goals in 57 matches, 53 excluding the Carioca, with an average of 5.88.

Recalled from América-MG, Cauan Barros steadied the midfield from the quarter-finals and excelled through to the final. He finished on 5.85 and also scored in the 5-1 win over Internacional.

Loide Augusto struggled to convince, his off-field flashpoints, including a clash with Diniz against Operário, overshadowing performances. He averaged 4.27 across 14 games.

Mateus Carvalho slumped to a 4.22 average, his error in the 2-2 draw with Ceará marking the low point. He was injured in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final and faces a long spell out in 2026. Oliveira featured 10 times after the state championship, was criticised for displays against Melgar, Palmeiras and Atlético-MG, and averaged 4.0. The defender is expected to be moved on next season.
