Speaking during his pre-game press conference today, ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League fixture against Sunderland, Pep Guardiola explained that Jeremy Doku could return from injury for tomorrow’s match. He also added that Rodri could play his first minutes since the beginning of November. The Manchester City manager added that Oscar Bobb and John Stones won’t return tomorrow. Speaking on Rodri, Jeremy Doku, Oscar Bobb and John Stones, Pep Guardiola said: “Rodri has come back, maybe he can play a few minutes [vs Sunderland] – looking forward to it desperately! And [Jeremy] Doku maybe, John [Stones] and Oscar [Bobb] no.”

City aren’t at full strength but Doku and Rodri’s availability is a boost.

Pep Guardiola also added that his team isn’t in the best condition in terms of player availability. But in terms of being in a better position in terms of their position in the Premier League than this time last season, his team is in better shape.
