Nayef Aguerd is set for his long awaited exit from West Ham with Marseille leading the race.
The Moroccan international, who was on loan last season to Real Sociedad, has showcased again his lack of commitment to the club by refusing to come back to pre-season.
It’s the latest example of a player with a poor attitude and commitment, having previously refusing to play for the club which pays his wage in favour of being fit for his nation at the AFCON.
Although some had suggested that Graham Potter would want to try and work with the defender, it’s now certain not to happen, with West Ham eager to get rid of the clearly uncommitted player.
French club Marseille are very much the favourites at present but a bidding war may occur, with clubs across Europe monitoring the situation.
For West Ham it’s a case of good luck but good riddance, as we look to build our transfer pot and move on from the very disappointing signing.
