The summer transfer window is not even officially open across all of Europe's top leagues, but that hasn't stopped some considerable business being done early.

5. Piero Hincapie - Bayer Leverkusen to Arsenal (£45m)

Some of last season's high-profile loans have made permanent switches this summer. Rasmus Hojlund, Lois Openda and Donyell Malen are among those to have turned loans into permanenttransfers, though the most expensive has been Piero Hincapie to Arsenal.

The Ecuadorian excelled on loan in North London last season, as the Gunners won thePremier League. His move from Bayer Leverkusen has cost £45m.

Chelsea have sanctioned the sale of Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, after the Spaniard expressed interest in a return to La Liga.

Real Madrid made their move as part of an active early summer for Los Blancos. Cucurella joins Bernardo Silva,Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries as part of a Real rebuild under Jose Mourinho.

“For me and my family it was an opportunity we couldn’t refuse, and I’m very happy with the decision we made," he told El Mundo.

“When you’re a kid, you dream of playing for big teams, and I think Real Madrid is one of them."

3. Jan Paul van Hecke - Brighton to Tottenham Hotspur (£52m)

Spurs are set to back Roberto De Zerbi this summer and have spent £52m toreunite the head coach with former Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke.

With Cristian Romero expected to leave North London, Vam Hecke has arrived as part of a new-look defence alongside free agent recruitsAndy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.

2. Jeremy Jacquet - Rennes to Liverpool (£55m)

Liverpool wrapped up a deal for Jeremy Jacquet in January, with the centre-back set to link up with the Reds this summer.

Jacquet is regarded as one of Europe's most promising defenders after an exciting emergence at Rennes. The 20-year-old has big shoes to fill, after Ibrahima Konate's exit for Real Madrid.

Anthony Gordon is the most expensive transfer of the summer so far after a £69m move to Barcelona.

Gordon hassigned for the Spanish champions from Newcastle and will become only the third Englishman to represent Barcelona in the last century, after Gary Lineker and Marcus Rashford.
