MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers continued with action in Groups E and F on Monday. 

Group D

Group D matches for the day were not played following the Concacaf Disciplinary Committee’s sanctions for the Under-20 men’s national teams of Anguilla and Guyana. 

As a result of Anguilla and Guyana being disqualified, the two nations forfeited their encounters against Curaçao and Haiti, respectively. Curaçao and Haiti each collected 3-nil victories, both improving to nine points each, and will meet with first place on the line on Wednesday.

Group E

Sint Maarten 0-4 Trinidad and Tobago 

Group E action for the day opened with Trinidad and Tobago earning a 4-nil victory against Sint Maarten in Group E at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field # 2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Chaz Williams got the opener for Trinidad and Tobago in the 23’, bringing down a long ball inside the box before rounding the goalkeeper and scoring from close range. 

Dominic Joseph doubled the advantage for the Soca Warriors in the 28’ with a mid-range hit to the bottom-left corner. 

Josiah Kallicharan struck with a tap in inside the six-yard box in the 69’. Giovanni Hospedales hit a powerful half-volley to the top-left corner from inside the box in the 87’ to seal the victory for Trinidad and Tobago.

Bermuda 3-3 Costa Rica

Bermuda held hosts Costa Rica to a 3-3 draw in Group E at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field # 2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Costa Rica pulled ahead in the 14’ with Yamil Leal slotting the ball at the bottom-left corner with a right-footed finish from outside the box. 

Xahvi Deroza levelled the scoring from close range in the 47’, before capitalizing on a defensive mistake to add a second and hand Bermuda the lead in the 60’. 

Adriel Pérez tied the match at 2-2 in the 71’ from inside the six-yard box after a series of rebounds following a corner.

Jace Donawa restored Bermuda’s lead in the 76’ with a spectacular free kick to the top-right corner from the left end of the field.

Costa Rica ultimately tied the match in the 82’ through Andrés Morera.

Group F

U.S. Virgin Islands 3-6 Nicaragua 

Hosts Nicaragua defeated the U.S. Virgin Islands 6-3 to pick up a second victory in a row in Group F at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua. 

Juban Uriarte sealed a brace early in the match for Nicaragua. He drove into the box from the left before placing the ball at the bottom-right corner in the 2’, before scoring a fantastic free kick in the 21’. 

Noah Armour shortened the deficit for the U.S.V.I. in the 32’, with a powerful shot to the top-right corner. 

Connor Bass tied the match, 2-2, in the 35’, capitalizing on long ball over the top.

Nicaragua reclaimed the lead in the 38’, with Mario Montenegro striking off a first-time hit from inside the box. 

Bass secured a first half brace and tied the match at 3-3 by converting a penalty in the 42’. 

Nicaragua extended its lead in the 51’ with Montenegro grabbing a second. Uriarte sealed his hat-trick with a backheel finish from close range in the 74’.

The hosts closed out its victory with a long-range drive to the bottom-right corner from Edwin Zepeda in the 90’+2’. 

Aruba 0-2 Canada 

Canada picked up a third consecutive win with a 2-nil result over Aruba in Group E at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua.

Owen Graham-Roache found the breakthrough goal for Canada in the 89’, sending the ball to the back of the net from short distance after an initial attempt that was blocked by Aruba’s backline.

Dylan Judelson sealed the victory for The Reds from the penalty spot in the 90’+6’.
