Leeds United’s 39-year wait for an FA Cup semi-final ended in a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley. Enzo Fernandez’s first half header settled it.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, player ratings were issued from the match.
Leeds threatened inside 30 seconds when Noah Okafor surged forward, then Brenden Aaronson broke clear from a counter but Robert Sanchez pushed his shot wide.
Chelsea led on 24 minutes after Pascal Struijk lost the ball, Joao Pedro worked it wide to Pedro Neto, and Neto’s cross found Fernandez to head in. Joao Pedro then struck the post and the Blues took a 1-0 lead into the break.
Leeds improved after the interval. Substitute Anton Stach went close and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a header saved, yet the first half strike proved decisive.
The ratings gave Lucas Perri 7 for a composed display with the ball. Jayden Bogle and James Justin received 5s, Jaka Bijol earned 6 after posing an aerial threat in the opposition area, and Pascal Struijk was also marked at 5. Gabi Gudmundsson took 7 for solid defending and delivery from his flank.
