The evening squad announcement confirmed that Noriega is out, and that Balbuena and André Henrique did not return as first anticipated. Willian remains sidelined with a muscle injury and will miss the next matches.

Besides the number 10, Grêmio are also without Léo Perez with a muscle problem, Marlon as he recovers from an ankle fracture, Villasanti with a ligament injury in his left knee, and João Pedro with a left thigh muscle issue.

Caio Paulista returns after sitting out the last game due to his loan from Palmeiras, which opened a spot for youngster Pedro Gabriel. A likely XI features Weverton, Pavon, Gustavo Martins, Viery, Caio Paulista, Nardoni, Monsalve, Arthur, Enamorado, Amuzu and Carlos Vinicius.
