Antoine Griezmann returns to Riazor today, a ground where Deportivo have so often suffered at his hands. The Atlético Madrid captain resumes a fixture not seen for eight years.
Meetings between the Frenchman and Dépor have typically brought him joy and the Galicians pain, El Periódico Mediterráneo reports. He has seven goals in 11 against them, four at Riazor, and has lost only one of those 11.
On 25 October 2010 he rose above Deportivo's centre-backs to head in for Real Sociedad, then celebrated by climbing into a promotional car at Anoeta and pretending to sound the horn.
On 1 June 2013 came the one that still stings. Deportivo needed a win to stay up, while Real Sociedad were chasing Champions League football. Griezmann merely prodded over the line, and it cut deepest.
Subsequent goals arrived with Atlético, none while at Barcelona. In 2015 he struck twice at Riazor, a superb volley that looked offside but was not, then a cross shot, for a 1-2 win.
In 2016 he scored in both meetings at El Calderón, 1-0 and 3-0. In 2017 Riazor saw another piece of brilliance, a cross shot from 30 metres, almost on the turn, that denied Andone's lead during a survival fight under Pepe Mel.
Now the Frenchman is back at the scene of the crime, and Dépor will hope old habits do not resurface on the shores of Riazor.
