- Grimsby Town knocked Manchester United out of the Carabao Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout.
- The League Two side secured a 12-11 penalty win following a 2-2 draw in regular time at Blundell Park.
- Grimsby initially took a 2-0 lead with goals from Charles Vernam and Tyrell Warren, the latter capitalising on an error by Andre Onana.
- Manchester United fought back to level the score through goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, forcing the match to penalties.
- Bryan Mbeumo then missed the decisive penalty for Manchester United, striking his effort off the crossbar, which sealed Grimsby's famous victory.
