Pep Guardiola says Abdukodir Khusanov is expected to miss the next three games with the injury he suffered against Arsenal.

The Uzbekistan defender was taken off at half-time of the 1-1 draw and Guardiola revealed he is set for a spell on the sidelines.

“He will be out for the next three games, yeah,” the City boss said.

Guardiola is set to name a much changed team for the visit to Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, following a run of three games in a week in which he named the same starting 11 in each.

“It was a really, really tough week, in terms of physically demanding,” Guardiola said.

“Emotionally, we come from defeats and everything. The last game has been really, really tough. Just three days recovery, coming back from London late and all this kind of stuff.

“Today we’re so tired, the players. Tomorrow we have a game.

“I know what it means to play against a championship or League One team, especially away.

“My only concern is to rest energy for the players who spend these three weeks (playing) for Saturday against Burnley. That is my only concern.”
