According to Football Italia, Como are preparing a third bid of €30m plus add-ons for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, with the Blues valuing him at €35m. Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, moved to end talk of the Italy job.

Guardiola said he does not feel he lacks anything mentally and loves his job, but needs a break for now. He added he would only return when he misses coaching.

Juventus confirmed Zeki Celik as their second summer signing on Thursday. Sky Sport reports that Galatasaray have sounded out Gleison Bremer and are ready to table a lucrative salary. Tuttosport claims Juventus are preparing a final proposal for Randal Kolo Muani, an initial loan with an option, a sell-on, and a package worth €45m.

Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino is viewed as the main alternative, with the Ducali seeking €30m. Luciano Spalletti, at his first 2026-27 press conference, said he had evaluated Dusan Vlahovic’s technical qualities and would welcome him back to the Allianz Stadium, while stressing finances are not his remit and that he has not spoken to the striker since the season ended.

Roma must replace Celik and are also pushing for Crysencio Summerville with West Ham, with Sky and Gazzetta suggesting a bid of around €40m. Lazio have continued talks with Dinamo Zagreb over Sergi Dominguez, targeting a loan with a €12m obligation to buy. Tuttosport adds that Andrea Pirlo remains favourite for the Italy post, with Raffaele Palladino under consideration.
