Guatemala takes Group C lead in W Qualifiers | OneFootball

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Guatemala winning 13-nil against the Cayman Islands in Group C on Friday at Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town, Cayman Islands. 

Aisha Solórzano opened the scoring in the 1’ to give Guatemala the lead. Andrea Álvarez doubled the lead in the 4’.

Ana Martínez added the third for Guatemala in the 5’. Andrea Álvarez secured her brace in the 7’, before Solórzano obtained her double in the 10’.

Solórzano sent the ball to the back of the net once more in the 19’, completing her hat-trick. Martinez added to her tally in the 21’ and 37’ to further the lead for Las Chapinas. 

Solórzano continued the scoring in the second half with a right-footed shot in the 61’. Hannah Bran De Mondi scored in the 69’ to add the 10th goal for Guatemala. Bran De Mondi earned her brace in the 72’. 

Álvarez found the net again in the 76’, before Bran De Mondi collected her hat trick in the 90'+2’.

The Cayman Islands will retake the pitch in the W Qualifiers against Costa Rica on April 11. Guatemala will look to another win in Group C against Costa Rica on April 19.
