Guido Rodríguez and Copete ready, Valencia set for Athletic quarter-final | OneFootball

Valencia completed their final tune-up at Paterna ahead of the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Athletic Club at Mestalla, with Carlos Corberán demanding full focus.

According to AS, Corberán has his full group available except Thierry Correia and Julen Agirrezabala, who remain injured. The full-back took part in a portion of training and is in the final phase of his recovery.

Guido Rodríguez and Copete trained without issues. The Argentine did not travel to Sevilla to face Betis due to gastroenteritis and the centre-back was unable to complete 90 minutes last time, going off with fatigue. The session ended with penalty practice.

Dimitri Foulquier left the pitch early and did not finish the workout, though his involvement tomorrow has not been ruled out. He is the only right-back available to Corberán and the staff want him fully fit.

The squad will meet tomorrow morning to eat and rest together before heading to Mestalla, where a big reception from the fans is expected. Valencia have a busy week, as they host Real Madrid on Sunday and, if they win tomorrow, would play the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final next week.
