Hugo Guillamón, 26, has married his partner in a private ceremony, underlining a period of stability off the pitch. The ex-Valencia midfielder has balanced family life, having become a father just over a year and a half ago, with a fresh start abroad.

According to Superdeporte, family and friends were present, with Ferran Torres, Abel Ruiz, Sergi Gómez, Jaume Domènech, Diakhaby, Foulquier, Miranda and Cristian Rivero among the guests. Some close friends were unable to attend as they were on holiday.

After a lifetime in the Mestalla set-up, Guillamón left the club months ago to begin a new adventure overseas. A product of Paterna, he rose to the first team, noted for tactical awareness and versatility in midfield, before reduced minutes prompted a discreet exit in search of new challenges.

He accepted an offer from HNK Hajduk Split, a historic Croatian side, aiming to rediscover confidence away from LaLiga’s glare. The switch demanded adaptation to a new country and style, and his influence has steadily grown under coach Gonzalo García.

In the recent run-in he reclaimed a starting berth with consecutive appearances, coinciding with an uptick in team performance. Hajduk finished second in a 10-team league usually dominated by Dinamo Zagreb, sealing European qualification.

Guillamón played 26 league matches from 36, signalling his increasing importance to the staff. His poise in the toughest games, organising play and progressing the ball, helped sustain Hajduk’s competitive rhythm.

This is a present defined by balance between family and football. He intends to consolidate himself in Croatian football and continue his growth in this new environment.
