Gustavo Henrique assisted one and scored the other as Corinthians beat Independiente Santa Fe 2-0 on Wednesday. According to Meu Timao, the centre-back has now registered 12 goal involvements for the club since arriving in early 2024. The tally comprises eight goals and four assists.
He supplied Raniele for the opener, then struck minutes later, and was named player of the match. Seven of his contributions have changed game state, with six putting Corinthians ahead and one levelling a match.
In 2026, he had already opened the scoring against Ponte Preta on the Paulista opening day. He also set up Gabriel Paulista to make it 1-0 against Flamengo in the Supercopa do Brasil, which Corinthians won.
Wednesday’s goal put the number 13 top among Corinthians centre-backs for goals this decade. He is now level with Breno Bidon, Kayke and Gabriel Paulista as the club’s joint third highest scorer this season on two, behind Yuri Alberto on five and André on three.
Attention now turns to the Campeonato Brasileiro, with a trip to Vitória at Barradão on Saturday at 20:00 for round 12.
