Manchester City will entertain Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday as they look to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to earn a 3-1 win over Swansea City in the EFL Cup recently, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.

Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this clash. Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva could all play from the start of this game.

4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma will operate in between the sticks for the Cherries after being rested in midweek. Ruben Dias will function alongside Josko Gvardiol at the centre of the Bournemouth defence as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the pitch.

Matheus Nunes will fill in as the right-back, while Nico O’Reilly looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Nathan Ake and John Stones will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Phil Foden, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders will make up Man City‘s midfield department. The talented trio would look to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut opportunities in the final third.

Divine Mukasa and Kalvin Phillips will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Jeremy Doku will hope to shine as the left-sided winger, while Bernardo Silva looks to give a good account of himself on the right flank.

Erling Haaland will spearhead Guardiola’s attack up top. He was rested in midweek and would be fresh for this clash against the Cherries.

Rayan Cherki and Omar Marmoush will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
