However, Bournemouth have generally kept the former Borussia Dortmund man quiet, conceding just once in six previous meetings.

Haaland hadn't scored in four consecutive league matches against the Cherries, but he quickly put that record to bed on Sunday, racing through and slotting into the net early in the first half.

Although Bournemouth pulled a goal back through Tyler Adams' first-ever Premier League goal, Haaland quickly restored the Cityzens' advantage, tapping past Petrovic.
