Hakan Çalhanoglu ‘to miss three weeks’ with left calf injury

Sky Sports Italia and Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Çalhanoglu has sustained a left calf injury and faces three weeks out.

The Türkiye international was hurt during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Napoli, in which he scored from the spot.

Tests today identified a muscular issue in the left soleus. He will be assessed again in the coming days.

The setback should rule him out of the next five fixtures, including the final two of the Champions League league phase, where the club are sixth.

Since joining in summer 2021, he has been a mainstay in Inter's midfield. This season he has made 22 appearances, scoring eight goals and supplying four assists.
