Hamburg have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Luka Vuskovic on loan for the rest of the season.

The deal is a straight loan without an option or obligation to buy, according to The Athletic.

The 18-year-old has not made an appearance for Spurs in competitive matches this season.

Tottenham want him to gain more first-team experience, which has opened the door for a move to Germany.

Tottenham eager to accelerate Vuskovic’s development

Vuskovic officially joined Tottenham in 2025 after FIFA rules delayed his transfer from Hajduk Split. The deal, agreed in 2023, was worth around £12 million.

He played for Frank’s team in pre-season and scored on his debut against Reading, but regular opportunities have been hard to come by.

The Croatian spent last season on loan at Westerlo in Belgium. He previously had a temporary spell with Radomiak Radom in Poland during the second half of the 2023-24 campaign.

Tottenham believe another move away will help his development.

Hamburg are eager to strengthen their squad following promotion back to the Bundesliga.

Vuskovic is regarded as one of Croatia’s brightest prospects. The opportunity to play regular football in Germany could be a key step in his development at Tottenham.

The season-long loan will allow him to adapt to the top-flight demands of the Bundesliga while gaining valuable experience away from England.
