According to Superdeporte, Flick said he knows what happened but would keep it to himself, adding he had no intention of fuelling the debate.

He noted he has a good relationship with Xavi and that they have been in contact since he arrived at Barcelona. He underlined that some issues should remain private.

Xavi’s recent interview about his time in charge and internal decisions has reopened discussion around the club. Flick sought to shift the focus to football and the important European tie ahead.
