Hansi Flick totally happy at Barcelona, has no intentions of leaving despite contrary reports | OneFootball

Earlier today, some media outlets reported that FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick might consider leaving the club at the end of the season, rather than seeing out his contract, which runs until 2027.

It was suggested that the German tactician was too tired to continue and had been thinking about leaving once the season was over since September.

No truth to the reports

However, now, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Flick has no intentions of leaving Barcelona at the end of the ongoing season.

The 60-year-old manager is totally happy at the Catalan outfit and intends to continue with the project he is building.

As mentioned earlier, Flick has a contract with Barcelona until 2027, having signed an extension after leading the club to a domestic treble in his debut season.

While it has not been smooth sailing for the German head coach at the Catalan club, he has time and again made it clear that he absolutely loves Barça and is fully committed to taking the team to greater heights.

Only this past Tuesday, in his press conference leading up to the game against Club Brugge, Flick reiterated the sentiment, saying:

“I’m very happy in Barcelona. I really love this club and these players, I’m very happy at this club and in this city, I’ll give my best.”

So, the speculations about a possible departure at the end of the season were seemingly baseless, as Flick intends to continue at Barcelona and build the project that he started last season.
