In a short time, Mateo has elevated his game in one of Europe’s leagues most recognized for giving opportunities to young players.

The 33 matches Chávez has played in the Old Continent this football year speak for themselves: starts in the Eredivisie, appearances in the UEFA Conference League, and most recently lifting the Dutch Cup have all helped establish him as a player in constant growth.

In addition, his performances have positioned him as one of the candidates to be part of the squad representing Mexico at the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
